What my sentence means, is not that Brian Jones wasn't competent, but that he was no more than competent on the instruments we have heard him play.
You are joking here, right? You don't really believe this statement you just made, especially after the examples I gave you, do you? What other proof do you want?
You are just denying the truth around you, there really wasn't another rocker that I know of who played anywhere near the number of instruments he could play, nor another rocker who played them with the gusto and skill that BJ could play them. Yet now you're calming that Brian wasn't a virtuoso? I mean, if he wasn't a virtuoso, then nobody in music ever was, period! The definition of the word cries out "Brian Jones"!
Plus you haven't yet offered any solid evidence to back up your claim. None! Nothing but your own written words.., so please show me on just what songs/instruments did he perform so poorly on? Please explain why/how Brian wasn't a virtuoso. How can you possibly say he wasn't highly skilled in music, more so than the average person was?
The only thing I'm getting out of this is that you are clueless on the skills that Brian Jones had. Even Keith Richards would tell you that your are totally off base to say this about the dude. Hell, Keith has admitted this about Brian, that he was one of a kind when it came to his talent for playing musical instruments.
This isn't really worth even debating, I mean, you got to be kidding me here, and no, it ain't worth my time dealing with such nonsense. But then again, and sadly, I do have too much time on my hands these days, since I'm mainly a retired person who sleeps for only 4 hours on average a nite.... So staying up proving my point in this matter isn't a total waste of my time (as you claimed). Yes, I wrote that in the middle of the night, when most people are unconscious, but not I. I mean, I got to find something to do in those 4 extra hours I live every day, so defending one, if not, the greatest rock musician to ever live, isn't a waste of time at all! Plus hey, by typing out the last sentence, I just got an idea for a new rock poll question from this! So no, this deep down ins't a waste of time, plus maybe, just maybe, you will change your mind on just how much talent BJ really had, and realize that he was clearly a virtuoso. I at the least hope so, since I know you are a smart person on most other things.
Now, please let me get back to my boring life.....
