Well I have not said that McCartney is a musical genius, only that if anyone in the Beatles was to be considered a musical genius then for me it would be McCartney.
If anybody in the Beatles was a musical genius, it was Lennon first! But so was McCartney (second).
You must not think anybody in rock music can be called a musical genius going by what you claim, but I totally disagree, rock has several such people.
I agree that Mozart was also a musical genius, and he pretty much wrote music that was ahead of it's time, just like Lennon/McCartney did, so why is only he one for doing the same thing they did? And don't tell me becuse what he wrote was classical music. So what, it still writing music, and I dig both, but to say just because one wrote one kind of music that so many loved while another wrote music in different style that so many others loved, that one is superior to the other? Or exactly what do you mean? All 3 wrote music that will never be forgotten, no?
