We were talking about it, you replied to Mike and quoted him in your reply, take a look, he wrote and you quoted it in your reply: “I think a lot of Aftermath, Between The Buttons, and Their Satanic Majesties were more Brian and Mick, than Keith and Mick.” That’s what you replied to and what I replied to.
I really couldn't care less if everyone likes Sgt. Pepper. I think it blows and I've always thought it blows. I'd think by now you know me well enough that if 99% of the people like something that I don't like, it won't change my mind.
Okay, I’ll give you that one, as you’re correct, I’m the same way myself on many things, and it doesn’t matter if it’s 10% or 99%.
But with Keith it is different. We aren’t pop stars, he is, and he’s putting down the greatest band ever (he didn’t just put down that album, but the band), and what he said about them was bullshit! A band that helped his band out early on when they needed a hit and they gave them one, he could show them some respect and not put them down. He is just so damn uncool these days, he sounds like a jealous old man.
I do find it interesting that the "integrity" of the history of The Stones is something that's supposed to be sacred.

Now I'd bet Keith finds it amusing to piss people off by saying Stu formed the band.
I was thinking the same thing. Either that or he is becoming senile in his old age.
I don't know why he said what he did, but I think Brian Jones lives much more in the lives of people that never met him than he does in the people that knew him well these days.
Every person who directly knew BJ and the Stones in 1962-63 has said that Brian started the Stones, other than Keith. The only people who believe Keith and defend his stupid remarks are people like you and others who never met Brian or Keith, and who weren't there.
Mick and Keith were already in Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys and performing together occasionally for Alexis Korner's gigs. Mick and Keith have every right to claim they're founding members of The Stones.
What?!? You got to be kidding! They have every right to say they formed Little Boy Blue and the Blue Boys, fine (and big deal!), but they have no right at all to say they're the founding members of The Stones, since they never were.
When you diminish his contributions, you really just ignore the evidence that's readily available and easy to listen to.
If anybody here is ignoring the evidence my friend, it’s you.
Brian brought a lot to the table with The Stones, but he just wasn't the main font of musical inspiration and creativity once the band started relying on Mick and Keith to write the songs.
Bull. Brian helped write the songs too! Most of those songs never would had been hits without Brian’s Lead, Rhythm & Acoustic Guitars, Dulcimer, Sitar, Marimbas, Tamboura, Bells, Sax, Harmonica, Piano, Organ, Harpsichord, Trumpet, Trombone, Accordion, Banjo, Kazoo; and other instruments I’m not noting. Keith could not play anything other than guitar in the early days, so he didn’t write the music to those parts of the songs, since he couldn’t play those instruments and write the musical piece that went with them. Plus it was BJ’s playing that made most of their hit songs stand out unlike any other rock band of the time. Brian had every right to be credited on those songs for writing the music just like Keith was. Only difference was, Keith got the credit and BJ didn’t.
