RE: RE: RE: RE: another reply

Hardly Keno, I know fine well who played the sitar on PIB and recorder on RT...btw, do you (or anybody) know if it was a descant recorder he played? I have a descant recorder, but when I've attempted RT, some notes don't seem to be there, and the sound is totally different.I know the timbre on the same type of instrument can be different depending on what it's made of etc, but does anyone know for sure?

I suppose since you think I might just go along with anything Keith says, it's reasonable to assume that you have me down as a Keith defender, or apologist even. Of course I'm not, and as I've said before, you can't defend the indefensible, Richards can talk a lot of pony with the best of them. What I do try to do is take as balanced and objective a point of view as possible. It seems to me that much of what get's said on Brian Jones is coming from a place bordering on obsession. In that world, Richards is public enemy number one, and this thread is a good case in point.

My first post in this thread was a response to mikeeder who in my opinion had taken a simple statement, and read all sorts in to it, and had done so in a way that gave him a chance to have a go at Richards. So if I see criticism of Richards or Jagger or Jones of anybody, that I feel is not justified, then I might feel inclined to give my opinion, and say so.

I certainly was being serious when I said there is so much about Brian Jones that is debatable be it, did he play on that track? was he present at this or that session? Was he fired or did he leave? etc etc..The list goes on and on, the points are argued over here, and other places on a regular basis, some of them are being debated in this thread. I'm surprised you don't agree with me on that.
