First I resent the implication that I'm not on the level or dishonest. That's total bullshit. I'm just tired of Keith being a bully loudmouth. I like his vintage music, but the guy says things that are horrible. Because some of you only see him as a fan, only a handful of others so far can see that.
If I said of a 27 year old drowning victim that was a former friend, who gave me my career, whose women I now was with, whose own job I recently kicked him out of, that likely was murdered, "he deserved it" or "he couldn't hang himself so he drowned himself" what would you think of me?
To make my other points more clear
1. Pepper is, bar a few bits of filler, a masterpiece (mono especially) and I felt Keith not getting it or Majesties showed his lack of feel toward the era. Nothing Keith has done since Child Of The Moon has any trace of the period, one in which Jones musically steps forward in a way Keith just can't. Keith played his part by writing riffs, some lyrics here or there, but Brian was more involved then he in that record. Maybe Keith was there the same amount of hours, but his guitar and backing vocals lacked the impact of Jones' sonic experiments. Brian's heart was definitely more into the eastern pipes and studio effects. No agenda in stating a fact
2. I was truly sad to see him lash out at Bill for defending Brian. He made it sound like Bill was on an ego trip, and than falsely gave credit to Stu again. If Stu was the leader how did he get kicked out of his own band? He didn't even mention Brian Jones, like he never existed. It's plain wrong. Again no agenda but pointing out basic right and wrong.
3. Finally I came across the quote yesterday about Brian "deserving" to die. That did it. I knew it was old but frankly between that and the stupid shit he said about Bill, Stu, and The Beatles. Add the recent abortion that was the Hyde Park release, where they again minimized Brian several times, I frankly got pissed. No agenda, no other crap I'm just being honest. I love the Stones music from 1963-78, but the way Keith acts since is classless.
