RE: RE: Several replies in one!

First, I hope you are not catagorizing me as a Keith "defender" because I am certainly not. I have been critical in many Keith bashing posts. However, is the man not entitled to his own opinions? We ALL here have started or replyed to posts expressing our opinions. If he thinks Sgt Pepper is crap then so be it! I don't think it's crap, but it's not an album that I even like. He even went so far as to bash his own Stones album (TSMR) as crap.

It doesn't sound like he's upset at or bashing Bill about Bill's comment. I don't think he gives a shit about the plaque OR what Bill said. It seems to have bothered Mick more.

As far as Brian is concerned, he never even mentioned him in the interview.... or did he? What we are reading is probably an edited version of the interview. The people who piece these articles/interviews together use whatever they want! Do you think the WHOLE interview was those few questions? Maybe Keith said nice stuff about Brian and the editor chopped it up or didn't use it. Things get taken out of context all the time. That is why I said in my previous post that I was taking the interview at face value, not letting all I know get in the way because that might lead to assuming. Remember when the reporter in the 60's reported that Mick Jagger was talking about taking some crazy drugs when in reality it was Brian who actually said it? Things get misconstrued all the time. I stand by my stance that I don't think that he shit on anyone in this interview by what I read.

As far as Stu goes...I never said he was a "leader". Don't know where that came from. I said he played a major role. He was the piano player in an R and B band... an original Rolling Stone. A Rolling Stone before anyone but Brian. He played an instrument on stage WITH Brian, Keith, Mick, Charlie, Bill, Dick Taylor and whoever else was in the band. IMO, that puts him in a major role. Every band member is a major player in my opinion and ALL of the Stones worshipped him from the interviews that I have seen over the years.
