Classy Keith strikes again.

Why get into it again? Because I recently read more junk far worse than this shit. I quote Keith on Brian's death

"Nobody should go that young, but if anybody deserved it, he did." For those bored by this stuff, no further reading is needed as to why I am mad again, but for those who like my writing on this subject, the following is my reaction to some of the comments made.

I like who Keith was circa 1962-66, I don't like who Keith slowly became after. Once he became a junkie he lost his compassion for others. After beating it, it seems he truly became a selfish person losing even Mick as a friend.

Serving a little time in 1978 may have really made him grow up, instead he became this pirate fellow who bought his own image. He just says random insane stuff and people just lap it up and make Keith quote books because he's so "honest". Because it's Keith and he's Keef the RIFFMAN. Don't buy into celebrity, it's all hype and bull. He's lucky he's not dead or in a group home. I seriously think he's lost his mind, or is playing a sick game.

As long as Keith lies, or speaks like an animal about Brian Jones, I won't like him. I'm tired of his comments about the other Stones, other people, and artists in general.

From 1969-78 he made some great music, but as a junkie he put everyone in his life through hell. I mean do I need to go into detail how much he risked with his band mates, friends, family, children. You can think it's cute or cool all you want, but he made Jones look like an angel during that time.

If Keith had died nobody would think the making of Exile was so romantic now. As it was he left enough dead in his wake or do I have to remind you of the people he got hooked who aren't here? The sad thing is he doesn't seem to take any blame for his own actions and blames others for being weaker than he thinks he is.

As much as I like the Stones through the sixties and yes the seventies too, Richards is not going to get a free pass from me for being a dick anymore.

I have no agenda when it comes to the music but honestly if you think was in anyway more important than Brian to the music they were making in 1966-67 (or 1963-64-I'll give Keith the Satisfaction era) than I ask where did the feel and sound of the original Stones go after Brian began to pull back big time.

All the soft drug musical color he added, all the innate sensitivity, was replaced by a hard rock highly sexual hard drug vibe. That they radically changed their sound and feel, save maybe one track here or there every decade or so, is proof enough that Brian had a very different vision for the band that they indeed followed.

I simply put forth that Brian was more important to the making of those albums than Keith, besides him a few nice riffs and yes of course lyrics. I guessed that if Keith can't get into Pepper and Majesties that he wouldn't like any music of the genre, I am not going out on a limb there. On those albums he was the "passenger".

After the May 1968 bust Keith took over and the sound completely changed away from anything resembling what Brian did with the group. Sympathy For The Devil was really a new thing, very different from say a Brian infused track like Child Of The Moon or even No Expectations. Let It Bleed was a very new feel, that's Keith's Stones.

Let's talk about the 1969 tour, why is it that most of the selections are 1968-1969? The few early cuts they did play are totally new arrangements that take out what Brian added to the songs. Even Keith calls it Rolling Stones Mach II. The one Keith had a true leadership role in was a different harder band than the one Brian had an active role in. He said publicly he did not like their new direction.

Hell at the end of the day I want to like Keith, I just want him to grow up and admit he isn't in a position to judge anyone, Brian Jones in particular. If anything he should be thankful he met him and got to be in a band that made it.
