Well perhaps, but for Bill, that plaque may have been the last straw. Those same factual errors had been circulated for some time, and then suddenly there's a monument for all to see that makes it look "official" for "founders" Mick and Keith. And of course Stu has also been floated as an "alternative founder". Kudos to Bill for setting the record straight. Just keeping in mind that Bill was the band's de facto historian, and he kept journals going all the back with attention to detail. Keith seems to be less precise in his recollections, being a bit fuzzy with the facts and perhaps figuring that the passage of time will let him get away with his selective memory.
