Well I think what it had to do with it, and maybe what I was asking was, do you think recording a song like that about somebody like Gallo was perhaps an error of judgement on Dylan's part? I think it was, and it may be that in the fullness of time 'Hurricane' will come to be seen as an error of judgement also. Bob Dylan is not infallible.
No he isn't, and as much as I love Dylan, he has done some stupid things in life, we all do that. But people write or sing songs that don't always believe in, and Dylan has commented about the song "Joey" and why he recorded it. The stones wrote about the nut in France who killed and then ate a woman, but I don't think Jagger agrees with the nutjob, he just wrote and sang about him.
