I took down the part of the RIP thread about Rubin Hurricane Carter that was disrespectful since I felt, and have always felt it is disrespectful to put down a person who just died on a message board (see my Ronald Reagan death post/reply from June of '04 for proof). I don't think TM was trying to be disrespectful with his post, nor am I trying to censor him, but I do have a problem in posting stuff like that in a post others started here to show respect for a person who has just died. It's like raining on somebody parade - but worst. Although I'm all for saving space here and I hate seeing new threads start when we are already covering an off topic subject, that should never apply to a RIP thread. If you hate the person, or feel something about the person should be known or looked into, then post your feelings in new thread separate from the one honoring the person.
Going back to the Ronald Reagan death post that I noted above, I usually make exceptions for politicians and any other scumbag who dies, although I guess, from reading my reply, that back in '04 I felt we should have waited a few days before we attacked the man. Today I no longer feel that way, as some politicians are such scumbags that I can't see giving them any breaks, even on the day they die. Thing is, I never took down the nasty things written about RR on that day and I believe his death post was perhaps as nasty as we ever got here towards a newly deceased person. Yet when I think of our former dictator, the pig George W Bush, I'm pretty sure I will celebrate the day he dies, that is, if the pig doesn't outlive me. But you can bet that he will, since the 1% have their ways of living longer thanks to all of their dirty money, and if you don't believe me, just look at the former VP under Bush, as that old Dick is only still alive thanks to his millions. To think they wasted a totally good heart that a good human being should have been given, instead of that piece of shit.
But anyway, that's the reason why I took out a part of that other thread. The other part is I've always had a problem with people being treated with injustice, and Carter was totally treated in that matter. To TM, all you have to do is dig a bit and you will find out about how an innocent man was found guilty; if the police are out to get you in the US (and in most other counties), they will get you, and that's a sad fact. The only witness of the shooting said he didn't commit the crime and the police should have let him go after he told them that. But instead, they talked a felon into lying and testifying against him. Plus again, if I recall correctly, I read that site in the past and it was only about the movie, and you can't ever believe a stupid movie, but you don't go around saying a guy did or didn't do a crime based on a stupid movie. If you watch a movie and think you're watching the truth, then you will never really know the whole truth. Hollywood sucks, and I guess that's one of the few things that I agree with those on the right with.
