RE: Brian needs an offical estate.

Gosh, too much here to go over it all, but....

First, it appears that there ins't a lot of money owned Brian's estate today. The estate has regularly been paid by the Stones the yearly amount agreed to by Brian and the Glimmer Twins 3 weeks before his death. I haven't heard anything about there being a problem with the Nanker Pheldge songs. Plus since Brian was never credited for the songs he did help write, his estate ins't owned anything for those songs. Yes, somebody cold take this to court and claim Brian wrote parts to several songs that he in fact did write the music to, but with him long dead, proving all of this would not be easy to do, other than maybe for "Ruby Tuesday", since several people who were there back in the day have said it was Brian's song, and most of them I believe are still alive today. But then you got to get them all together and well, after so many years, I don't think anybody feels like doing that now. It sure ins't going to benefit Brian today, that's for sure!

I can't see comparing Syd Barrett to Brian. Syd wrote several hit songs - songs that he was credited for and therefore he was paid for to the day he died. He also had out 2 solo albums that sold too.... There is no question that Syd was much better treated by his former mates than BJ was by his, but it ins't like they were giving him their money either, Syd didn't need them for that, he had that money coming to him regardless.

Since 1969 Andrew Oldham, Mick, Keith, Charlie, and Ian stole from Brian Jones something which you can't ever buy, his astounding legacy as a musician.

Well that's true with ALO and the Glimmers, but Charlie and Stu? Stu didn't like BJ too much, and he did put him down, but I never heard of him putting down BJ's music, only speaking lowly of him as a person. He felt Brian was a pain in the ass, and he blamed Brian for being pushed out of the band, when the entire band agreed to this, and the idea wasn't even Brian's.

I have never heard of Charlie putting down Brian's work, when did he do that? What did he say?

Every book and review written since the offical Circus has come out in 1996 (WITH THE MAJOR EXCEPTION OF KENO's) doesn't take note that Brian has been mixed out.

Really, I didn't know that. I'm surprised, because at least one of the old boots from the Circus has all of the original music in it and you can clearly hear Brian's playing in it and his playing was fine at that show, it never should have been edited out of the official release. I'm surprise nobody else has written about this, unless I have one very rare boot on my hands. I'm glad that I've shown it to a few Gassers in the past, so at least some can say they they have heard and seen this boot. But I'm sure this has come up in the past in some older books. I know my friend James wrote about this in one of his books years ago, although that would have been before the Circus was released, and you're talking about after.

I would have it pulled from the market and force the mixes to be redone by Bill Wyman or someone else who can be trusted to put Brian back up in the mix.

It would have to be done for only 2 songs, JJF, and YCAGWYW. His guitar playing on NE is fully intact, and I believe on "Parachute Woman", too. Then he played percussion on SFTD, which you can hear fine. Only other song they did that night the band didn't play on, that being "Salt of the Earth", which they only sang to recorded music.
