Dr King said in the early 1960's "we are 10% of the population yet account for 58% of the crime & we need to address this. What black leader has talked like this in the past 50 yrs? Not many. Like I siad they are killing themselves 92% black on black murders. Instead of more monies or pointing at racism they need to address the issues internally. Believe me the playing field has been equalized. Many minority chidren have a better chance at receiving scholarships than my birthchildren. Once the welfare "great society" took hold, black leaders stopped talking like Dr King & the Sharpton & Jesse kinds took hold. Look it's easier to keep playing the victim (many of my kids try this tactic),as I have in times thru my life. #1 is the decimation of the family unit. 73% of black children are born out of wedlock, I mentioned also the 92% black on black crime rate (why liberals sit by & don't tackle that head on black or white is beyond me). I'd often be touted the racist for stating such, but the one's turning a blinds eye to this & perpatuating the victim status could they not be the "racist's"? Ignoring statisics. Just something Iv'e often wondered. Furthermore, they pour more more monies into the welfare system & reward more monies for worse behavior! For example, you'll get more $ with daddy being absent or deadbeat. How about we shall reward you with more monies for keeping the family intact?? Mandatory drug classes.. Mandatory job hunting. It's like unemployment: no matter if conservative leadership puts in a lower max like 35 weeks, or a super liberal extends it to some insane # like 93 weeks, it's interesting that people of any race most often find work just before their benefit runs out, very rarely weeks or months prior. 95% ride the benefit out until the 11th hour, it's just human nature. If black leadership really cared and white liberals cared they'd recognize, your approach must change. We will sit here 150 yrs from now & the proverbial bumper sticker soundbite will still be it's still racism & even with tens of billions more taxpayers monies pured in. Asian's for example, they stress education and care little for $500 sneakers for their kids. Many people's have been enslaved and received bigotry the world over from day 1. Blacks in Africa are killing and hatching off each other limbs for decades, Iraq (sunni, shiite, kurds, Serbia (ethnic cleansing). Russia & their satalitte states, mongols. I lived in India for 2 years the caste system Untouchables vs Brahman's. In fact many countries northern regions look down upon their southern brethern ("they got darker skin tone,& less educated"). India & China are prime examples of this. The only way things will change for the black community is to look in the mirror, stop playing the victim & race card, stres education & family, instill discipline. Heck give black conservatives a chance Thomas Sowell, Larry Elders, Ben Carson, Bill Cosby (they are saying & speak to what I am eluding to). To here this rubbish ad nausium 24/7 racism, Sharpton, Jesse, white "enablers" spouting they just need more monies "can you say MSNBC...You just can't speak logic anymore Sway. People want bumper sticker soundbites. Gun control ugh Chicago has the stricte3st gun control laws & it's a literal war zone. Since the good folk have no arms the gangs & thugs run the city. More monies? DC has the most money poured in year after year & yield the worst results. I see the consrvatives as the strict mom or dad & the liberals as the pushover parent (just let people be & do what they want) & the correct right way is somehwere in between, in my view. Don't confiscate the guns, legalize drugs & prostitution, stop nation buliding, promote legal immigration not the illegal variety. Obama is asking US taxpayers for 3.7 million dollars to bring the children back to Central America. How about saving the taxpayers the 3.7 million because you just can't say no in the first place, as the party wants the hispanic vote. Always reactive & rarely proactive. Look I'm a long haired rock hippie, drink my Guinness with the best of em, enjoy the mary Jane on a regular basis party it up but I also rely on nobody. I ask Government for nothing nor rely upon it for anything, I work a career job for the govt & do foster care. Got thru a divorce, pay for all my children, have a good relationship with my ex. go to work each day, run household as a single parent & yet I still have lots of time to have lots of fun! Stress family, go to work, contribute, give charity (time or dollars). Get back some moral compassess people. This country has never been an entitlement state. Social security Medicare fine, but people want & look to govt more than ever. I also lived in Belgium for 5 yrs have you seen the state of the European entitlement states? Their economies are bankrupt esp the more southern Euros. Just unsustainable, just like the public sector pensions of my employment shhhh lol. The answers arn't simple & it takes hard work, discipline and nobody wants to hear it. Keep placating the minorities, children & disempower the parents. teachers & police. Police misconduct is far from rampant. That officer in Ferguson didn't wake up & say let me throw my career, family & life down the toilet because I want to kill a black man. Those circumstances (having the gun turned on himself, eye socket fracture, person charging again) is probably what caused him to shoot right or wrongly. If he is gulity so be it, but I believe if the same circumstances were present & true he shoots white, Asian, black or hispanic. Oh finally can someone please tell the French to stop paying million dollar ransoms to ISIS or ISIL. What don't they get??? Guess who has more people kidnapped by ISIS? The French! Now we placate & negoatiate with terrorists, what's next me wonders. MEZ
