My thoughts for what they're worth: As I see it, Okie Zep does have a strong tendency towards writing negative posts about the Stones. I cannot recall a positive one yet. One, I remember, suggested the Stones writing great songs like 'Satisfaction', HTW, etc., could have been done by any ol' band, but the Stones were in the right place at the right time. In other words they were there in the beginning. He likened the Stones early writing success to the Oklahoma land rush. Where the fastest riders claimed the best pieces of land.

I think that is pure bullshit and discredits the talents of the songwriting team of Jagger/Richards. This post had nothing to do with the Stones aging, obviously.

Okie Zep likes to stir the pot. Nothing really wrong with that. But I might take his opinions more seriously if, "once in a blue moon", he writes something positive about the band he claims to be his favorite.
