RE: Stones Legacy In Peril?

Sad but true. Wheras someone like Neil Young was able to reconnect with a younger generation with "Rocking in the Free World," the Stones are not connecting with young people at all. Most of my friends DO NOT like the Stones. Everybody of course likes "Satisfaction" but that's about it. They can't find anything else they do interresting, even the new album they did which was fantastic. One of my friends said it best:

"The Beatles broke up at their prime and will forever be known as the greatest band in the world. Jimi Hendrix died young and will always be known as a legend for his short life of work. Whereas nowadadys you get Mick Jagger and Keith Richards dragging their old asses up onto the stage to play songs from over 40 years ago and all the shit they did in their later years, and everyone says 'Enough already.' That's the way it is."

This is a little upsurd, but he was right. The Rolling Stones were the greatest band ever, but they are just not connecting with their new audience.
