First of all, I did NOT use the word THUG to describe blacks. I am NOT a racist as I noted several times here. I used the word THUG to describe someone who exhibits THUG LIKE BEHAVIOR...again, as I have described here before. I thought I made that perfectly clear to you when you asked me if only blacks can be described as thugs and I said NO! I called Zimmerman a thug because he exhibited THUG LIKE BEHAVIOR. He marked that kid, tracked him down and basically jumped him. To me, that is thug like behavior.
You choose the word pig to describe him, and cops. That is fine with me. I am not splitting hairs, as they say, trying to decipher what "pig"really means. You can use words that you want to describe people and I can use my words to describe people. To me, Zimmerman is a thug. To you he is a pig. I think we are both in agreement about the way we feel about him. We are just using different words.
As far as Michael Brown, I say thug. The video of him robbing and menacing that store owner is why I choose to use that word. How ANYONE can NOT see that is beyond words for me. Just imagine if that store owner was you or a loved one. I'm sure you would feel differently about things. Just as I think any supporter of Brown would feel differently if THEY were that cop who had to kill him because he was charging with the intent to harm. Look at the way Brown menaced that store owner. In all likelihood, that is how he acted towards the cop, too. No one goes from that aggressive behavior to a pussy cat in 5 minutes. That is my opinion.
Its possible that all of our life experiences have played into the opinions we have formed. Keno seems to harbor ill feelings toward cops (as do I) and perhaps is swayed a little because of his past experiences. I have been dealing with thugs (black, white and every other race)for years in the area that I used to live and still work. So I am inclined to have no sympathy for them when they get what they deserve.
We are starting to go in circles here. There are those that feel one way about this and those who go the other way and obviously no one is changing their mind. It has been an interesting debate and I am now retiring from this thread. I hope no one thinks ill of me as this is just a matter of opinion and I love everyone here no matter their views on ANYTHING! I prefer to talk about The Stones now... anybody got anything!?
