I just wanted to make a note on this word "pig" in regard to myself only and how I use it.
The word was often used as a slang word back in the '60s, and it was mainly used to describe a police officer, or a person who was flat out dirty and didn't bath, etc. Today it means more than just that when used in slang, to include bad corporate heads, and bad people in general. For myself, I do use the word here every so often, but rarely do I use it in regard to the police, although in this thread I've used it often but only about cops who kill, like the cop in question who murdered that 18 year old unarmed kid. He is a true pig, no question in my mind, but that doesn't mean I think most cops are pigs, I already know most aren't, although in a few police departments, most are, it depends on the department and who heads it. I've read that most cops in Ferguson are pigs, since I don't live anywhere near there I have no way of knowing what is true, but by what I have read about this one cop and his actions, he is a true pig to me, and I have no problem is stating this.
Pigs suck and tear the life out of most people, but not only with their guns; many do so with their oil businesses, or with their dirty, backwards politics. To me, there are far more pigs in the oil industry and in politics than in most police departments, and it's for those 2 that I use the word most around here for, and if you've read this joint long enough, you know that's true.
It seems that perhaps a few here have taken offense to my using this word. I guess this is why I'm writing this now, but I don't mean to use this word to cause that kind of reaction in my friends here, not al all. This is just how I am, a person who has had to deal with prejudices my entire adult life, just because I refused to give in to society and look the way your normal male clone looks. Some might say, well you don't have to look that way, you can shave off your long beard and cut off your hair - but those who think in that matter have no clue, since I have to live with myself and I will not live the life of a fake person. Most men can look and act like society wants them to look and be and feel comfortable in doing that, but I can't, and I won't. So I put up with the BS that goes with being me, but this is America and we are suppose to live free, even if manny the don't. I've said it before that I'm lucky I live in a town where most men and women are like me, and half of the men who live here are longhairs (not too many other towns in the US where that can be stated), but it makes getting by in this mean, prejudice world, a lot easier to live in, living in such a town.
So anyway, I guess I do use the word pig here perhaps too often for some, but again, that's me, I know that most people on the planet aren't pigs and aren't even close to being pigs... it's just a few who are, and when I see one, I like to point them out. To those who take unnecessary offense to my using the word, please remember the golden Gasland rule... if you don't like the way a person posts, then skip over their posts/replies and only read posts made by those you like reading, if you do that, all should be cool. Just because I'm the webmaster here and I started this place (it will be a long 16 years ago next week), doesn't mean you have to read all or any of my posts, as Gasx3 is for everybody, and if one or 2 of us bring you down - then again, just don't read what we wrote. But one thing is sure, I will use the word "pig" again in the future here and it isn't meant to insult anybody but the pig(s) in question.
