.....but that's fourteen women and they were ready to testify, I wonder what happened?

What happened, was when Cosby's lawyers found out about all of these women lined up to testify against him in court and claim that they all were assaulted by him, his lawyers saw a major problem with this many women making such claims and what that could lead to, so they made sure the case was settled out of court so their testimony would never take place. So he simply paid a large amount of cash to shut up these women.
