This is so ridiculous, glad I'm not afraid the way you and others are about this! On the local news here tonight they compared ebola to the other diseases or viruses out there and showed how stupid (they didn't use that word) people have become over this scare without realizing it. Take the flu for example, something nobody wants to get, but so many of us do get it each winter because of how it spreads around so much more easier than ebola. 53,826 people died each year in the US alone from the flu! That's a ton of people, so where is all of the major news stories about this major, spreading problem? Why isn't this front and center each night on the news like this ebola scare is? Why don't the networks and GOP go crazy over flu deaths and how it spreads?? Here is some more US death rates on average per year.... Heart disease: 596,577, Cancer: 576,691, Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 142,943, Stroke: 128,932, Alzheimer's disease: 84,974, Diabetes: 73,831, and although the next one isn't a disease, another 39,518 died each year in the US from suicide! Yet one person has died from ebola so far and some are acting like the end of the world is here. It's not, so people need to stop acting like a chicken without a head and realize who the real fools (I'm not going to use the word "morons" here) are. I would not worry about people eating monkeys as much as I would about people smoking cigarettes and getting either of the worst forms of lung diseases - or heart diseases from smoking tobacco, it's a lot worse than eating any monkey .... Now I'm not saying we shouldn't be proactive on ebola, we should be, but we also perhaps should be more proactive on the other diseases out there too, and if we aren't going to be scared to death of all the deaths I just noted, then why be so scared to death about ebola?
