RE: ridiculous

Having said that im not going to tempt fate and go party in africa

It bears repeating that it is only a small portion of Africa which is affected. Go back to the map I linked to earlier in this thread. Not only that, but the WHO has now declared Senegal to be Ebola-free and will do the same for Nigeria on Monday, if no new cases are discovered on the weekend. What's more, two of the three affected countries are in shambles after years of conflict and have basically no infrastructures left. Medical facilities are rudimentary and medical personnel is very scarce.

If you're in Arizona, are you going to refrain from going out in your car because the roads are icy in Vermont after an episode of freezing rain?

Everyone needs to take a deep breath (go ahead, it's safe: Ebola isn't airborne!) and calm down. Three cases do not an epidemic make.

There are many places in Africa where I wouldn't go, but that has to do with the unstable political situation in those countries a lot more than it has to do with viruses. I went on a 10-day safari many years ago and there is nothing I would love more than to do it again.
