Lol well i was going to refrain from this thread and concentrate on the others here because ive said enough and all we can do is wait and see what goes down now. But ill bite and respond to your points devuilsadvocate.Agreed i have a much better chance of getting hit by a bus in buffalo currently than getting ebola,lets hope we can say that in say 10 months from now.And its true that if im arizona the weather in any place out of state wont affect me.But then theres that pesky air travel situation again,airplanes have made it a much smaller world as we all know.We could have an outbreak in buffalo without air travelors coming in to bring it,but its doubtful.It appears that the countries that are having travel restrictions placed on them are primarily nigeria,sierra leone,liberia,and guinea as you know already im sure.Some of the countries that currently have various and varied travel restrictions in place to and from these 4 nations are.....belize,antigua and barbuda,trinidad and tobago,guyana,jamaica,colombia,gabron,rwanda,gambia,nambia,st.kitts and nevis,st lucia,st vincent and the grenedenes,kenya,cape verde,senegel,chad,south africa,mauritius,sychelles,cote d ivoire,equatorial guinnea,camaroon,angola,botswana,republic of congo,lesotho,madegascar,malawi,mozambique,swaziland,tanzania,zambia,and zimbabwe. Thats 34 i thought i read 40?Of course many of these countries have health care systems that are alot less effective than in the u s or canada which could be a factor as to the border closures? Its interesting though.And i believe mexico may join them shortly? All this media hype about ebola could certainly affect the stock market and perhaps it has alitlle already.And perhaps mass air travel bans could plunge several nations into a depression.Im sure thats a factor for not restricting travelers,but then huge outbreaks worldwide could shut everything down including the world economy.
