RE: RE: RE: Paris attacked

Sway you made an excellent point regarding U.S Arabs. On one hand we have been ingrained "Do not profile" "Do not profile" in recent years, but on the same hand regarding terrorism the mantra from those in authority (newscasters, intel officers etc) is "If you see something say something". The 2 do not appear to be congruous. Case in point is the Muslim clock kid. Cannot have it both ways is the lesson. How can you not profile but "if you see something say something" see what? A suspicious Arab perhaps. For example, when we all initially heard of the Paris terrorism, did not most or all of us assumed it was Arabs. In other words Arab terrorism "shocker"! That was my same argument months ago on the black issue. If any of us were a cop in the inner city your fooling yourself to think you or your loved one would not be more hesitant approaching an African American man, not because of skin color but simply statistics. Again it similar to the Arab man in the above example. Profiling and statistics are not mutually exclusive. You can't make argument A without considering variable B. It is like an high school girl sleeping around with half the class & then getting the label "slut". Like I don't know why it's hard to find a relationship. Change the behavior and there is no "label". Many were not more hesitant to suspect the young black male because of the color of his skin but because of the fact statistically that young black males commit crime at a highly disproportionate level. It may well be due to lack of opportunity or parental guidance or being poor but nonetheless it is true. That's not racist but common sense. We are taught to value probability and statistics at school and university but in the case of race, crime, terrorism etc we are supposed to throw that logic out the window. That is why PC is so dangerous or gets in the way as you said Sway. But you cannot state the obvious because of political correctness. It's most often about the appearance of fairness. Now of course there are idiot racists, regarding blacks & Arabs & non tolerance towards gays and Trans but that is not the case often in the above examples, especially in today's society (due to the stigma attached to the label of racist or hillbilly). Because of PC you cannot call a spade a spade, a duck a duck or whatever analogy. Have you seen the show 48 hours. It is a tv show about murders. 95% of the episodes are black perpetrators. That's not racist just a fact. These people are arrested on DNA. Now Sharpton can one day state the show is racist and diversity must be shown out of fairness. Again distort the truth in the name of PC. This is why good Muslims have to take their hijacked religion back by speaking out & black leadership has to one day stop playing the proverbial victim card and make most everything about racism or desire more than accepting the token nominal monies from white guilt if they ever want to rise out of poverty. There has to be a behavioral expectation component in their community set forth by black leadership similar to Martin Luther King. In other words it's not all the whites fault; we have many things to fix within our own communities. That is how he spoke. It is human nature however and easier to play the victimhood card whether your black, foster child, divorced, gay, transgendered, ill, etc. Oh well just the way I see it. Can you tell I hate political correctness. One last thing everyone is so fearful of cops these days. Cops carry guns but the PC police are three times as powerful and they don't even have to carry guns. OJ trial was the seminal moment regarding this. Using the N word was a graver crime in the estimation of most in society to that of butchering two people. Be very weary of the PC police as they get stronger by the year. The PC police dictate the rules these days not politicians or cops or teachers or even parents. Peace all MEZ
