I've read all the above posts and everyone makes a lot of sense. IMO, this "war" can not be won by any side, but "we" stand more to lose than "them". We value life where as they do not. They believe in martyrdom...virgins, etc. You can not defeat an ideaology. You can defeat a country, a known, but not an idea. Countries wear uniforms and come from a particular place. Defeat the "place" and you win. This ideaology exists in every country. It has no actual face. "We" can't win. Political correctnes holds us back ,too. There was that muslim kid who made the clock for school and got arrested because someone thought it was a bomb. Do I feel bad for him? Of course, but we can not be too careful. Now the "arresters" are made to feel like assholes, but they shouldn't be. Better safe than sorry. This is the world we live in. Profiling? I'm all for it... have been since 9/11. Better safe than sorry. Are most muslims innocent? Yes. Too bad, though. They are the ones wreaking this havoc. Pull them over, frisk them, question them, follow them. Better safe than sorry.
This is gonna sound crazy, but we should have left Saddam alone. He was a crazy ass dictator but you know what? He kept these animals in line. All this shit with this group has happened since he has been gone. I think after 9/11 we took care of the Taliban and al qaeda pretty good. Why? Because we knew where they were, went there and kicked their ass. This group is a horse of a different color which Obama deemed a JV Team. Let me tell you... this is no JV Team. They are scary bastards with a point to make and they are starting to make it.
