There was also an American band playing at the concert hall. Part of their band name was Eagles (of Death Metal...I dont get it either) but it WAS an American band
Yes it was an American band. I'd never heard of them and since Friday I've heard the band described as pretty much everything from blues all the way to metal. Given their name, I would lean towards the latter. Blues bands don't have "death metal" in their names.
That said, even though it was an American band, this attack was not about the US. It was about Paris, France and the involvement of France in the US-led coalition in Syria and Iraq. I think that in some ways, France's colonial past is also catching up with the country.
