I like 'em, but kind of in passing, a little unlike U2. U2 is one of the weirdest bands I can think of. War, Joshua Tree, and especially Achtung Baby (Achtung really stands out as an incredible work) are really good albums. But everything else they've released is positively vomit-inducing, to a very high degree. R.E.M. is spottier but also more consistent in a way, as they have several stellar tracks spread out over mostly modest not-too-impressive albums.

Radiohead, for me, is one of about 4 or 5 2000s bands that is among the best and most important of its era's history, but I understand why a lot of listeners here would not and could not ever warm up to them.
