On Zeppelin, when they first came out, I loved them, saw them twice and loved them even more, and I loved them to the day they split up. Yet after that I found I never felt like playing their albums, when CDs came out, I did once again get most of their albums on CD, played them once, totally enjoyed them, yet never really played them again. Now when they come on the radio, I still love hearing their music and still enjoy them, but I still never feel like playing their CDs. I also don't play any of my CDs by AC/DC, Deep Purple, Slade, or any of the other early metal bands that I still like today and have on CD, other than old Alice Cooper (the band, not solo) which I still play as much as anything else I have. But the old ACB wasn't totally metal, either. So I guess I still like to hear an old heavy metal song today whenever it plays on the radio, but I don't want to hear 45 minutes of heavy metal in a row. I'm more likely to put on Simon and Garfunkel, or other more mellow stuff, and when I want to hear hard rock, I of course go for the Stones, or late '60s Fabs, Kinks, Who, etc.
