I just love A Quick One and I think that performance is red hot. Apparently The Who were fresh from a tour while The Stones hadn't played in over a year. I think it shows. I think The Kinks and The Who are pretty close, but I'd have to go with The Who for live performances. The Kinks don't really have any live albums from the late 60's or 70's. One For The Road is good but it's deep into their arena rock years. (Good years though.) Also Moon and Entwistle are fuckin' maniacs.

Anyway I love 'em both.
