I totally understand why this was said and some believe that the government killed John Lennon. I can't be sure.... But let's face it, he was a Yippie too, and he was close friends with both of the group's 2 leaders - my hero, the great Abbie Hoffman, and later on turncoat Jerry Rubin. I don't think there is any question that both Hoffman and Rubin were killed by the U.S. government for being the Yippies leaders, and Lennon's involvement with them was why the US government tried so hard to not allow him to stay in the U.S. for all of those years. Had his son not been born here, Lennon would have been kicked out in time for sure.
But some of Pig Nixon's men did in both Hoffman and Rubin years later. I mean, Hoffman was in good sprites enjoying his life when all of a sudden he kills himself with pills for no reason at all? And only a fool would believe that a true hit and run accident happened the day when Rubin got run down and killed while walking across the street in NYC. They both were killed and if them 2 were done in, why not Lennon, too? Nixon flat out hated him! Heck, Aaron Kay (aka "the pie man") was the only Yippie to survive all of that and live. Heck, he hasn't pied anybody in years now (those were the days indeed!), too bad, there are a few around today like Trump and the lying Turtle from Kentucky, who need a good pie to the face for sure!
