Heck, everybody knew back in the early '70s that Vic lived and owned a dinner in Arizona. Oh wait, that was Mel, my bad!
But as far as blaming the internet today, in a way some of it could be blamed on the famous star, too, if they give out too much info. But not by a photo inside their home, yet outside of their home, yes, that might be different.... unless you lived where John lived, since everybody knew where the Dakota building is and it being directly across the street from Central Park made it a very easy building to find for those who don't know NYC.
Plus one could argue that another Beatle still hasn't learned, as what was just noted in one of the Colorado online newspapers. Most here in Colorado know that Ringo has owned land and a horse farm here for years, but Ringo himself has been posting to one of those online photo sites, showing photos of himself walking around different Colorado trails and towns, while that stupid paper has been guessing exactly where he's been - by pointing out things like land-markers in the background. They just can't leave the man alone, but then again, Ringo should not be sending out those photos, at least not until his stay here is over.
