Yes, but no. Your comments about Keith in Jamaica get me to think about what happened to Bob Marley when he got shot, and then even worst, when his former band-mate Peter Tosh was then robbed and shot dead in his own home by that gang. But neither Bob or Peter broadcasted where they lived and look what happened to them in their homes anyway.
Then, we can't forget what happened to poor fellow Beatle George Harrison (yet many have forgotten). But he and his wife were attacked in their home in the middle of the night by a nut that broke into their house, and George was badly wounded - stabbed with a knife while he fought off the intruder. I believe his wife broke a lamp over the guy's head to end the attack. But George never told anybody where he lived and he still almost got killed in his home. So John taking those photos meant nothing at all and had nothing to do with his death.
Fans know where you live when you are famous and there isn't anything you can do about it unless you are warned first, and that rarely happens. The only case I can think of when that happened was with David Letterman; he was informed that some guys were about to kidnap his son at their Wyoming home, which was in the middle of nowhere. You think the kidnappers would have planned that in their NYC area home, not out west, but again, it don't matter where you live or if you have photos taken of you inside of your home. Think of all the countless photos Keith and Anita had taken of them and their communal family when they lived in the south of France in the early '70s, yet nothing bad ever took place there. It's just really a matter of bad luck and timing - if trouble is gonna find you, it will, and it's not really the fault of the famous person, who again, is just living their lives the best they can.
