I'm sorry...it was chitter chatter, not CnW that I was referring to. Also, I think your two cents are worth a lot more than that, Chitter Chatter, lol! You make great, valid points. Ronnie was the right man at the time, as Charlie has said. His role seemed to be a peace maker or liason for Mick and Keith which doesn't translate musically per se. Brian and Mick T didn't play that role. They were/are musicians that contributed more to Stones songs and put the Stones and their songs way up on the map of greatness. So many of the Stones songs from 1962 to 1974 would not have been as successful if not for Brian or Mick T. I can't think of one great song that wouldn't be as great if Ronnie wasn't a part of it.
Again, I don't want to seem like a Ronnie hater because I'm not. As Chitter Chatter says...I just prefer MT or BJ. And I prefer the BJ and MT era music over the RW era by light years and the reason, IMO, is because that essential third contributer doesn't bring as much to the table as the first 2 (BJ/MT) did. If you look at Kenos album ratings, with the exception of Some Girls, all the Ronnie Era albums are at the bottom of the list with the worst ratings
