They lost their lead singer. That's a hard position to replace!
Agreed. I would go further and say it's the most difficult position to replace. It's been done but it's not easy. I think the reason why is that the singer is naturally the focal point of the band, the one people look at the most during concerts. If you replace a guitar player, we all know each guitarist has his or her own style but it's still a guitar sound. Whereas each voice is unique. It's different when Keith is singing vs when Mick is singing.
