Yes, SW, but when you lose a star and replace him with a lesser talent, you don't win, Such is the case here, I like Ronnie... but he's not Brian or Mick T and since then, the team has not been as good. As I noted above, the bottom 7 albums in Keno's rankings are all Wood era albums. I love TY, too. Many songs from that album were done before Ronnie's time though, We've discussed it here so I'm not gonna get into it.
The point of this thread, I think, lol, was trying to say that the Stones are not a Jagger/Richards show entirely. They had MAJOR players that were in place and made Mick and Keith look and shine brighter when they were in the band (Brian/MT). That's when the Stones were on the TOP of their game musically. True, the Wood Era saw mega tours and riches beyond anyone's imagination.... but that happened ONLY because Brian and Taylor had paved the way for that. Those mega tours never happen if the Stones catalogue started in 1975.
