OK. I can get why someone who has been mistreated by cops would be leery of them all. I understand. Especially a young person of color. But regarding the STones, I've never heard Mick or Keith in any interview say that they were making any statement against the "bad cops" who arrrested them in their younger years. Certainly they've grown up and certainly they realize that the police are needed in a civilized nation. And certainly they realize that the concert for 9/11 was definitely not the forum to symbolically air any past grievances with police. I clearly remember the attitude in this country at the time, and I believe it was one of understanding, compassion and support for what both the cops and firemen do every do. So I do not believe that Jagger was directing any grief at cops, rather, I believe he was putting the cap on to be funny, and at the same time, honor the cops that were there.
