Brown was murdered, the cop did the killing, and as is usually the case, the cop got off without even being indicted for his crime. A total injustice, which only people of color mainly seem to recognize, since they are usually the only ones being victimized by the cops. That cop did get away with the murder, and not all witnesses backed up the cop's story, and you are in total error to claim that he "had" to resign, that isn't true at all. He left the force totally on his own, and you should know that since you always make a big deal to me and others about getting the facts correct. Is their job a "thankless" job? Yes, but it's not only their choosing, but most of them get off on it, many of them love ordering people around and being in total control over people, and sadly, some of them love the free licence they have to kill people - including innocent people and even children.
Are all cops bad? Of course not, I sure as shit never said that, I said the opposite if anything, so no need for you to try to school me on something I already know. It is the job of the police to protect the public, not to kill innocent black males on a regular basis.
