I just saw on the news that the Grand Jury decided not to indict the officer in the Eric Garner case.......
Let me say that again, the Grand Jury decided not to indict the officer in the Eric Garner case.....
I repeat it because im in disbelief.....
For those not aware of the case, its the case where a cop, in presence of other cops, proceeded to use an illegal choke hold on a (big) black man that was suspected to be selling loose cigarettes. The video shows the cop applying the choke hold while the victim pleaded 11 times that he couldn't breathe.
As opposed, to the Brown case, a video tape of the 'homicide' [it was ruled a homicide by the coroner] exists....and it shows almost the whole ordeal....
The fact that the grand jury returned a no indictment decision, screams to me that the Grand Jury process does not work...
It seems to me that the prosecutors are too much embedded and in cahoots with the law enforcement to allow for an untainted process when presenting to the Grand Jury...
I welcome your thoughts on this if any.....
