Well, I live on the east coast and I can tell you that there is plenty of outrage when it's not a Middle Easterner. The Sandy Hook psycho was a young white boy who did the shooting and that was front page for months. There was outrage against the NRA, etc.
I don't know what the answer is, but guns have been around for hundreds of years. Even if laws were put in motion TODAY, do you think it would matter? People who have bad intentions will always get fire arms if they want. "Our once great country" became a great country because our fore fathers took up ARMS against the British and took over the country.
I don't know HOW people CAN stop what is going on.We are not mind readers and know when some psycho is going to do these dreadful things. Maybe it starts with bad parenting? Maybe it's because the laws of this land protect the bad guys to an extent? Maybe it's because our justice system is too forgiving and accommodating to these assholes? Maybe life in jail is easier than life on the street for some of these people? I don't have an answer and I don't think anyone does. All I know is changing gun laws wont stop any of this.
