Sinatra fancied himself as a tough guy a mafia wanna be.But keith richards loves to tell the story of when he met frank one time and frank was very pleasant to keith. And i think over time sinatra began to appreciate the beatles,he recorded yesterday and something and of course something was a staple of his live shows. He dubbed it the greatest love song of the past 50 years when he first heard it.He sent yoko flowers when lennon was killed. He said that lennons death was such a senseless tragedy and he felt that lennon was a gentle soul.So what im trying to say is that some rock music grew on him alittle and he was not always this wanna be gangster tough guy.He mellowed alittle as he got older.I never liked him much but then i slowly very slowly changed my opinion of him.Of course he was a spectacular talent, but im not so sure he belongs in a rock and roll hall of fame,id have to ponder this? I have a bunch of his christmas cds and lps.
