I pretty much agree with what you noted in your first paragraph.
Then you commented: if we had no idea who Sinatra was as a person, and went only in his output of music, would we want him in the Hall?
Absolutely not! Again, the man had nothing at all to do with Rock music, and this is the Rock Hall of Fame, no? His style of music flat out wasn't what we call Rock n Roll and it wasn't even close! Personally his way of singing I flat out can't stand, it's a total bore to me and puts me to sleep.
