RE: RE: RE: Beatles

I'm not sure if you are talking to me or Fatmo, but neither of us are crazy just because we disagree with you on something like this.

As far as the one Stone who would have been better in the Beatles, it would had been IMO, Brian, with the many musical skills that he had. But that isn't to say that Keith couldn't had fit in better than George, and IMO, there were many Classic Rock drummers who would have given the Beatles a better sound if they were behind the drumkit instead of Ringo. I understand you really like Ringo, and that's fine, but it doesn't make me crazy to say that he was lacking as a drummer and that my second favorite band would had been even better had a different drummer been in there instead.

Now one thing I know for sure, was that the Beatles at least did play some metal tunes - whereas the Stones never have. They did sound excellent when they played such music - even with Ringo on the drums. But I bet that the Stones would have sounded even better at that genre if they ever gave it a try. But no, my saying that the Fabs played a few good metal songs doesn't mean that I believe they should have been a heavy metal band - hell no, not at all. I don't know how you would get to think that from my comments?

But I do like a lot of variety in my music, yes, and that's why I always loved Brian Jones, he gave that to the Stones, and it takes just how many session men playing for the Stones today to replace the sounds that BJ alone could produce for them? Every band could have used such a musician, but such musicians are far and few between. Paul was that to some extent in the Beatles. But on lead guitar, George was limited to how he played the instrument. He played the very same sound 95% of the time it seemed.

The Beatles had 3 guys in their group who could have played lead guitar, and perhaps that's where they failed. They should have taken advantage of that fact and gone that route instead. If they had, they would have sounded better even with George in there.

Now bluesboy, if you disagree with me on any of this, fine, but I'm not crazy to state this, either.
