Sorry for the late response - was away and my response wouldn't post itself (have sent you a message). I remember being in Denver on a week training one February probably 15 -20 years or so ago (I lose track of time when there's nothing to measure it by), and the weather was exactly as you described. The trainers (a married couple) lent the 2 out of towners - myself and someone from another US State - their car, so we drove to Red Rocks for a few hours in the afternoon, it was a fabulous day and I took loads of photos. To this day I remember the amazing warmth and the coldness too - and lots of snow everywhere.
