One of the worst things I can recall involving a squirrel came from a good friend of mine. It was late fall and the first snow of the season was falling, so they went to lite the first fire of the season in their fireplace, and there was a squirrel in the chimney they didn't know about. As soon as they started the fire, the squirrel came falling down into the fireplace's bed and burned up.
