Yes manny! Ok so it was recorded in my mate's bedroom on a little digital home recording studio, with a built in drum machine... the singer wasn't sure of the words, and could only sing it in a key not suited for faithful reproduction of the main riff on guitar, and somehow the acoustic guitar got lost in the mix.... it was all round pretty naff.......all that aside, it was fun to do, and a very worthwhile project of Starbucks, the follow up is long overdue!
Just as a postscript......the singer's sister is married to a Syrian, and I hear our version became very big in parts of Damascus, but no, it has never been suggested that it was in any way responsible for that tortured country's sad predicament.
