I've already informed him that any real Republican that runs against him in 2010 will be getting my vote.
The way the GOP is today, I don't think I will ever again vote for a Republican, even a liberal one. The Republicans are of course the main reason this bill wasn't passed the way the people wanted it - with a government option! They just don't give a rat's ass about the people and it is they would love the insurance companies and go to bat only for them. Not a single one of them supported what most of the people wanted in this country - NOT ONE!! Then you got your handful of right wing Democrats who really are Republicans. Look at that stupid old man Joe Lieberman! That piece of trash is perhaps the main reason government health care isn't in the bill!! BTW, I didn't just write my own congressmen on this issue, I have also wrote both pigs - Lieberman and Nelson about this, plus a few others in that group of swine, too.
But I disagree that this bill will mean nothing - it will be a improvement over the crap that is out there now. Only question is, how much. They still feel that most Americans will now get to be insured. But it's going to take forever to take affect, too. I figure that if this package is the true final bill (they still have to work out the differences with the House bill which is totally different), I'm in for a good 5 years of waiting until I can get insurance, and that means waiting 5 more years for my needed surgery! That is too long a wait! But, they could go and favor the House bill - which still has the public option in it! So I'm waiting to see what we really get before feeling good or bad with this bill right now.
