I don't believe in multiverses at all, that just sounds so phony and unreal - but it did make for one hell of a Star Trek show once many years ago. I think is was on the Next Generation show if I recall!
As far as time travel goes, it was noted and we even talked about here several years ago, when it was stated by scientists that yes - that could take place in the future!.... but - and it's a big but - when it happens and is all figured out, they won't be able to come back to say the year 1, or to the year 1492, or even to today, in 2018. They would only be able to go back to (when and if the time ever comes) - to when they get it to work! In other words, if they figure this out next year how to do this, say on March 15, 2019 - then in the future, say even 100 years from now, the latest they will be able to go back to would be - March 15, 2019! or any dates after that but not before that time.... So no, they won't ever be able to go back to any days before that time, including today or even March 14, 2019. But do remember to beware the ides of March, Ronnie!
