I think the odds would be in favor of a public reunion happening. Perhaps a one-off performance at the very least, but maybe there would have been more. Its nice to think of more albums made. But then we have to snap out of this and realize we're in pure fantasy land. It's like wondering if Mozart had lived longer. Mozart was younger than John Lennon when he died. His out put of music was pretty awesome for around 35 or whatever he was when he died. So he would have likely done much, much more. Many things would have driven the Beatles to reunite: nostalgia, friendship, causes and politics which might have led them to Live Aid or Live 8, and, of course, money. To many possibilities to try and say they would never have come back.
Heck, Abba is coming back with a few songs which they have just recently recorded. Apparently there are at least 4 songs and they may release a whole album next year. So if they can do it, so could have the Fab 4
