RE: RE: RE: RE: Parochial school (NSC)

Oh I agree 100% with what you said about drugs and that all drugs should be legal. The sooner the much better. The so-called War On Drugs doesn't work. It's never worked.

It's the weapons charges, the .22-caliber semi-automatic pistol, a .25-auto caliber semi-automatic and a shotgun. I bet if it were you or me caught with illegal weapons like that we'd be doing heavy time.

That's extremely disturbing what happened to the boy left in the classroom.

I've heard several good testimonies about Catholic school, and some not so good. I feel bad about what you went through at your school.

In my school each grade had two teachers, one for Greek classes, and one for English, and a one-hour lunch break in the middle. School days were 9am - 3pm.

In third grade, my Greek teacher asked me a question. I answered it, correctly, and the bastard says to me sternly that I sound too sleepy or something. He asked the question again and I answered a little louder, trying to answer more 'awake' I guess. Before I could finish he interrupts and says "no no no answer like you're awake!" I tried like all hell to speak the way I thought he wanted -- loudly, with force and conviction. (All the dialogue was in Greek.) But again, "no no no....."

Ready for this? He told one of the older boys to go with me to the bathroom and to dunk my head in a sink filled with water so I can wake up. He wasn't kidding, he meant it. Boy was I confused. What in the hell is going on here!

So we went to the bathroom, and he said he's not putting my head in the sink. His idea was to use wet paper towels to get my hair wet, wet enough so there is some dripping, and get some water on my face to make it look good.

We go back to the classroom and as I entered the room the whole class laughed loudly (and vindictively). The humiliation was unbearable. What the hell did he do that for? And the faculty just gets away with all their shit.

My brother, who went there the whole 8 years, left quite a legacy! (That didn't help me at all.) On his day of graduation, the assistant principal, Mrs. Paniatopoulos, (yes, a woman, who was his 7th & 8th grade English teacher, and VERY sadistic and scary and violent as hell) was talking to parents. Now I was there but I didn't see this. My mother went to talk with her, and that teacher/asst-principal PUSHED her rather hard, simultaneously saying in Greek as she pushed her, "Get out of here. I don't want to talk to you!" Others saw it so I know my brother wasn't lying. (He is a sociopath.) He said he'll never forget the look my mother made.

In 5th grade I was failing miserably on many subjects in both classes. That New Years, (1967) I went to public school to finish the 5th grade. It was culture shock!!

Oh and I got A's in all subjects, except math --- a B.

What a difference.
