Holy cow!! Why in the hell did I type "CYHMK" in my above post, when I should have typed "SFTD". My God if I'm going to act like I smoked something, then what the heck I might as well really smoke something! 😁
I admit I was never the sharpest blade in the kitchen drawer, but in recent years my brain is getting progressively worse!! (and that's really scary.) 😬
About Charlie, what I see is a guy who looks like he just doesn't want to be there.
I never heard Beatle boots called PR shoes, maybe it's a Brooklyn thing?
I was in Greek Orthodox school in The Bronx during those times and believe me the faculty hated the Beatles and they sure as shit did not like anybody wearing Beatle boots to school. I've seen kids not being allowed in the classroom because of that footwear.
One of the older kids was warned not to come to school with those anymore, and the next day he did. He was explaining that he didn't have time to get new shoes, got the shit kicked out of him, and spent the whole day in the lunchroom. (May God-almighty help you if you weren't wearing a TIE 👔 !!)
It can't be easy for family members to just jolly-well go out to a shoe store and just purchase new shoes just like that. Especially when some kids got home from school as late as 6:30 PM because of the school bus. (I myself was bused from Astoria to the Bronx. In each school year I would be home usually between 4 and 4:30, assuming no breakdowns -- which happened quite often.) Plus many of us were quite poor. And private school isn't cheap.
Far too much criminal activity there.
I had a dickens of a time there for the 4½ years I was there (first grade to the middle of 5th.) No kindergarten no nothing! And I was thrown in there in 1st grade at the age of 5. FIVE! I sure as hell wasn't ready. The fear, the trauma, the criminal abuse that went unchecked and unpunished. For my whole time there I was "the ugliest in the class", "the dumbest in the class", and because I had no social skills whatsoever I was quite the recluse. My household was even worse. (I literally celebrated when my mother died. And I was pissed off as hell when my brother was given ONLY a three year sentence with 6 months less for good behavior, and he ended up doing only a year and 8 months! For THIS ---> He's Alex.

So when I see somebody fucked-up in the head (like me) I realize there are always TWO sides to every story. What made them like that. What events in their past caused this?
