On the Acid Guitar poll I voted for Keith on CYHMK.
Damn, please pass on over whatever you're smoking buddy, cause I want some of that! CYHMK was listed in week one, so this week you had to vote for something else.
I myself voted for Keith's acid guitar on SFTD. His acid guitar on that song along with Lennon's acid guitar on "Revolution" was what got me to think up this poll question in the first place. IMO, they are the 2 best acid guitars ever heard and recorded, bar none!
I'm not quite ready to vote yet on the "Sex Drive" vid. Definitely won't get a high mark from me as I feel it kind of borders on pornography, and I hate pornography.
I hate pornography too, but how does the "Sex Drive" vid even come close to that? IMO it isn't even close to pornography, an R rating at best and only since it's so suggested. But there's no prono in there at all. Plus very weird, I was surprised that Charlie looked so comfortable in the vid and seemed to fit in with it all. Yet you saw the total opposite with him in that?
But we both agree it don't deserve a high rating, the vid blows IMO. It only got a 5 from me, and that's a bit lower of what most fans are giving it right now. I just don't care for the song at all. Disco still sucks, Ronnie, and that song is really just disco crap!

Yeah, everybody loved those great looking shoes back then and wanted a pair! I recall New Yorkers called them "PR shoes" back in those days, and not for any racist reason, either (the "PR" stood for "Puerto Rican", and means shoes with pointy toes, also known as "Puerto Rican Fence Climbers"). They were called both that and "Beatle boots" once the Fabs made then super popular to wear.... I can't help thinking of that great Lou Reed song (covered by Bowie) about the H dealer in NYC/Harlem ("Waiting on the Man") and the incorrect lyrics that some lyric sites to this day still get totally wrong. What Reed wrote was not "beat up shoes". What drug dealer has anything beat up? LOL!... The lyrics that describes the drug dealer in that song as he walks down the street are: "Here he comes, he's all dressed in black, PR shoes and a big straw hat. He's never early, he's always late, first thing you learn is you always gotta wait, I'm... waiting for my man!... Yeah, I'm waiting!" Drug songs always have the greatest lyrics for sure.
