On the Acid Guitar poll I voted for Keith on CYHMK. Again, as in previous weeks, a very difficult question.
On the Beatles poll I voted for "Day Tripper" as I think it has the best riff. And if I think that, that means -- YOU should too! ....(Just kidding 😜 just kidding!)

LIB over the under appreciated B&B.
I'm not quite ready to vote yet on the "Sex Drive" vid. Definitely won't get a high mark from me as I feel it kind of borders on pornography, and I hate pornography. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Even Charlie looked uncomfortable.
The HYSYM video gets a solid 10. It's fun to watch, it was 1966, and it was such a great time for music 🎶 (not much else.)
Sullivan was very smart to have contemporary musical guests on the show, at least one act per show I think. But I resented when he would say the "and now for the youngsters part. It just gave me a disturbing feeling in my stomach. Why the youngsters? Isn't music for everybody?
Now that I know more, perhaps he said those words (every time) as a way to appease the older folk, and not lose them? Believe me, Rock & Roll was not very well received by the WW2 generation, especially the stuff coming out after Beatlemania was launched, with the 'long hair', and the jargon (groovy man), and the attire -- especially the Beatle boots. (I would have KILLED to have a pair of those!)
Well, anyway, the Rock era was still young and as things evolved it's obvious that stuff is NOT just for the youngsters. But we must always love Ed for having the guts to have groups like the Vanilla Fudge and the Doors and Sly & the Family Stone on his show, and not just the more family friendly acts like the great Four Tops and The Supremes.
