Manson was by far the criminal who garnered the most attention of john q public over the past 48 years.His family and crimes were horrific but he was a very charismatic guy and had celebrities calling him,writing him,recording his songs,reading about him,quoting him etc.Hell even name themselves after him..see marlyn manson.He had several people wearing t shirts with his pic on them,buying his paper mache creations.Buying his stuff he made or things with his likness on them on ebay? He was often just a rambling ball of energy that made very little sense when he spoke but i understand he was very intelligent.He was a violent scumbag but i cant recall any other criminals or killers who had such a worldwide following as he did,almost fans? I must confess i bought a paperback copy of helter skelter though and read it from cover to cover,and im certainly no fan of his.If there is a hell one would think hes there by now?
